370z paddle shift vs manual

I did this starting at 30mph going around a slight bend This is more difficult to do with a manual, IMO. My wife complains that she can't drive the M great way to keep the car in top shape! I'm trying my best to keep peace while driving something fun on the weekends.

Don't feel bad about your friends talking smack on your auto, let the car prove itself in the track. I am done with manual cars, I find more and more atractive the new modern autos. I don't blame you with your auto, I lived in San Antonio and the traffic on the loop is aweful. What package do you have?

Those are quick times. Hey guys I have a question.. I noticed a small jolt when I am in manual mode and slows down to a standstill around 2nd and 1st gear. I mean I won't downshift the car because in manual mode if you slow down it will just downshift to your speed. Originally Posted by C6Z06dude. BB code is On. Smilies are On. Trackbacks are On. Hence, the freedom and great visibility offered when the roof is down is among the reasons we love the Z Roadster. It went on sale in late as a model year car, and the Touring model, in particular, has awesome features such as heated and cooling leather power seats, 6-CD Bose audio system with 8 speakers, and aluminum pedals.

IMHO that's the main advantage of paddles compared to any manual. I actually almost forgot, that you can also use the lever to shift. Like any real sequential gear box Paddles for me. I don't use the lever. I use manual mode most of the time. I mean, really, do I need to be in 7th gear by the time I'm doing 40mph? My main problem with the automatic is the auto mode is terrible.

For anyone that uses the lever for shifting. This looks like a pretty simple mod that makes sense. When I have used the level, it always seemed backwards to me.

Extended paddles here, downshift always with paddle, upshift with paddle only when both hands are on the wheel; otherwise my right hand falls on the G37 sport shift lever which feels much like an OE shift ball and upshift with that.

I also like downshifting with the paddle in auto mode and letting the ECu take back over when not particularly driving "sporty. Auto mode as my daily routine around town. Paddles when I hit the twistys.
